Frequently Asked Questions
What’s up with this URL?
I currently drive a ‘92 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon. My last wagon was a ‘96 (RIP). I have a dream to sell (obviously) very cool accessories and swag for fans of station wagons, and this will be the URL for that store. Until then, why not get some use outta this puppy?
What stuff do you write?
I’m available for writing anything your business needs. Whether it’s short-form emails, landing pages, and ad copy or heavily researched 100-page ebooks, I’m ready to get started.
Are you a solo operation or what?
When I pick up freelance work, I typically write, proof, and revise solo. But I also love being part of a team and collaborating with bright and adventurous graphic designers, web developers, ad folks, and anyone else who turns good ideas into great successes.
But can you manage?
From running a local ice cream shop’s kitchen to kicking off initiatives, moving projects along seamlessly, forecasting resources, and wrangling freelancers, managing is something I take a lot of pride in doing well. However, I also love being elbow-deep in what’s going on, so you’ll never catch me kicking up my heels and barking orders.
Where are you located (and would you work remotely)?
I recently moved across the ol’ Mississippi from Minneapolis to St. Paul, Minnesota. My home office is currently in my lodge-themed guest room and I love working in it. So, yes, I’m open to remote work and more time in my lodge palace. If you’re local, though, I’d love to meet up.
Where did you go to college?
I went to the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. From 2008 to 2012, I worked through UMN’s Honors College of Liberal Arts and the School of Journalism to wind up with majors in English and Journalism - Strategic Communications. I graduated with honors, magna cum laude, and promptly went on to manage a local ice cream kitchen (as one does).
What do you do for fun?
You can usually find me scouring estate sales for treasure or lacing up for a roller derby practice with my league, North Star Roller Derby. Both hobbies suck up a lot of resources. Please hire me. I need money to fuel this lifestyle.
What’s your deepest, darkest secret?
Maybe it’s that time I drank so much Sunny Delight that I started sweating orange. Maybe it’s all the butter I ate as a kid. Maybe it’s something more sinister. Guess you’ll have to talk to me and find out.
